Melvin Laing:
Nominated by Martha Trbovich Hancock '56.
Mr. Laing first introduced me to speech and theatre. His class was not only my
favorite but one that helped me grow as an individual. The confidence I gained
through public speaking contributed to my ability to perform in school
assemblies and major in speech at Kent State University.
Richard Hohan:
Nominated by Martha Trbovich Hancock '56:
Mr. Hohan was my journalism instructor. He honed my skills as a writer and
became a lifelong friend. He never thought twice about spending additional hours
at school to assure that our Newzette was published regularly. His dedication to
education through his involvement in extra-curricular activities is commendable.
